    THE ROOTS

Asa Bailey establishes On-Set Facilities in Corwen, North Wales, in 2016. The company develops real-time production systems, bringing together the physical set and digital imagery. This is the founder’s earlier technical work, documented retrospectively by RedShark in 2020. It is a starting point for this history, rather than BAI-LEY’s incorporation date.

    REALTIME PIPELINE

On-Set Facilities introduces Realtime Pipeline, an installable virtual-production system combining hardware, software and proprietary code. Broadcast’s March 2019 report describes live compositing and a demonstration film directed by Asa Bailey. This milestone records an earlier production system, with immediate on-set feedback central to its purpose. It precedes the later move into generative AI.

    INTEGRATED PRODUCTION SYSTEMS

On 23 June 2020, ARRI announces a collaboration between its System Group and On-Set Facilities to deliver integrated virtual-production studios. The announcement brings production-system development together with studio design and integration. It documents a practical step in the founder’s earlier technical work: building production environments for filmmakers, rather than treating individual tools as isolated products.

    BAI-LEY

The BAI-LEY name appears in international television-development coverage. C21’s 9 December 2024 report lists BAI-LEY in association with the development of Isolation, an S4C eco-thriller from screenwriter Morgan Gendel. It is a development announcement involving several production partners. It documents the name and project relationship at that time, rather than a completed or released series.

    CANADIAN AI INFRASTRUCTURE

We plan to deploy BAI-LEY intelligence on CoreWeave compute at Bell AI Fabric’s new Saskatchewan campus. This is the next step in our ambition to build and operate our creative intelligence on Canadian sovereign AI infrastructure.

    THE INFRASTRUCTURE

Bell’s initial 300 MW campus is under construction near Regina, with its first data hall expected in the first half of 2027. CoreWeave and Cerebras are confirmed tenants. A proposed expansion could create a 1.2 GW Canadian AI infrastructure hub, with total capital investment of up to C$52.5 billion. These are campus-wide figures, not capacity or investment committed to BAI-LEY. The expansion remains proposed.
