ABOUT US

BAI-LEY is the studio of British film director Asa Bailey.

We exist to produce original work, grounded stories, authored films, and the creative systems that make and support them.

Asa Bailey is a director and pipeline architect who has led virtual production and AI-native workflows on major international projects, including Silo (Apple TV+), 100 Years of Solitude (Netflix), The Eternaut (Netflix), and When Sharks Attack 360 (Disney / Nat Geo).

He founded BAI-LEY to give directors and himself a creative environment where authorship stays protected, from script, to set, to post. Today, we produce Bailey’s own work as well as supporting select productions with tightly integrated pipelines.

Asa is also the creator of .Dave (Data Acquisition Validation Engine), a metadata format designed to embed authorship, rights, and chain-of-title at the point of capture, giving studios the ability to verify provenance and secure IP from day one in AI-driven production pipelines.

At BAI-LEY, we build what we need to make the work possible:

real-time VFX, simulcam, colour, tracking, motion capture, camera I/O, and live GPU layers. We’ve delivered these systems on set for Apple, Netflix, Disney, Nat Geo, DreamWorks, RED, and more, but always in service of the creative lead and the story.

Our team works quietly, behind the camera, so the focus can stay where it belongs, on the performance, on the shot, on the story.
