The BAI-LEY RED Simulcam is a supervised, on-set integration for productions shooting on RED KOMODO-X, V-RAPTOR [X], and V-RAPTOR XL [X].

It composites live RED plates with real-time CG so the director and crew see the finished frame while shooting.
Built for feature work, series, and live events where timing, framing, and performance depend on the final image.

  • Live 8K camera path with IP over SMPTE fibre and quad-link 12G-SDI

  • Tracked cameras feeding 6DoF and lens FIZ to Unreal Engine

  • Spectral keying and live grade for clean composites on set

  • Final-pixel or preview workflows, both timecode and genlock aligned

  • Genlocked to camera timing

Keying and composite

  • Hardware 8K keying at up to 60p

  • Real-time spill management and edge fidelity

  • Program composite delivered as quad-link 12G-SDI or IP

Recording

  • Program master to ProRes 422 HQ or DNxHR at up to 8Kp60

  • Optional ISO of FG, BG, and mattes

  • Embedded timecode with sidecar metadata

Colour

  • Rec.709 or ACES show pipelines

  • Show LUT support with live grading

Monitoring

  • 8K engineering on stage

  • 4K control-room multiview and returns

  • Engineering scopes on request

Sync and compliance

  • PTP timing and genlock across the chain

  • SMPTE ST 2110, ST 2082, and ST 425-5 supported
